Brief Skills InfoNathan has demonstrated agility and versatility throughout his career. A quick learner, Nathan combines an education in Engineering, Philosophy and Project Management to propel him to continue developing through many diverse opportunities.
Nathan’s background in both sciences and humanities reflects an enjoyment of working through questions and ideas in diverse fields and a passion for continuous learning. Nathan graduated from the University of Saskatchewan with a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering (with a Biotechnology option) and a B.A. in Philosophy. Since school, Nathan worked for over 11 years at Calfrac Well Services in multiple roles. While working in a laboratory setting, he provided leadership to both the Quality Control and Research & Development teams. As a member of a corporate engineering team, Nathan contributed to and led special projects that impacted all divisions within the company (Canada, US, Russia, Mexico and Argentina). These projects included software development, HS&E and governmental reporting, data analysis and acquisition evaluation and integration. He also had experience as a part of a job optimization team, developing and reporting on fracturing models to assist clients in achieving their desired outcomes.
Even before participating in EDGE UP, Nathan has had opportunity to continue his professional development through the attendance of conferences, taking leadership courses through SAIT and working with an Executive Coach to further develop his leadership and visioning strategies. Nathan is keenly interested in Project Management opportunities, bringing his skills as a problem-solver, a collaborator and a thoughtful leader.
