Joelle has a lifelong passion for understanding and solving problems. Whether coding, simulations or puzzles, she is driven to dig in and understand what is happening and loves it when the lightbulb goes on and she discovers the solution or missing piece. She loves collaborating with others to watch ideas become reality. When she is interested in a subject, she needs to learn everything she can about it.

Joelle has a Bachelor of Science degree in chemical engineering and 13 years experience in designing small and large oil and gas facilities around the world. She is experienced in debugging simulation software and designing fit-for-purpose client solutions while collaborating with remote and diverse multi-disciplinary teams.

Because she understands the world is in the middle of a technological revolution, she was thrilled to complete the Full Stack Software Development program through Bow Valley College in collaboration with EDGE UP (Energy to Digital Growth Education and Upskilling Project), Calgary Economic Development and ICTC (Information and Communication Technology Council). She is ready to offer her knowledge in web and software development utilizing HTML, CSS, JS, React, Node.js/Express, SQL Server, and C#.

When not working, she has her nose in a book, enjoys time with family and friends, enjoys testing out new recipes or paddling on the reservoir. She is excited to use her skills to solve the next tech puzzle.
